Film history was written in short films. It does not matter whether we are talking about the first movie ever made or the first film with sound, the first movie in color, the first 3D movie, the first CGI movie, the first music movie, the “shock movie”, the first crossover with visual arts or the first nouvelle vague film. The short film has always been the fore-runner, the laboratory where it all began. This unique series contains the most influential short films in 100 years of film history; 30 short films made between 1900 and 2000 that are exemplary of trends and developments in film history or that introduced new tech-niques, processes, styles, genres or directors.

This series includes a publication, which can be purchased at the webshop www. daltonshop.be
