DVD LABEL
Selected Shorts is the short film DVD label of the ISFFL. It was founded in 2005, after the huge success of the festival’s anniversary DVD ’10 Years Leuven Kort’ in 2004. Ever since, the label releases 1 to 2 national and international short film DVDs, the catalogue now counts 14 DVDs. The festival also runs a specialised short film webshop, under the same name. DISTRIBUTION: THEATRICAL & DIGITAL
The ISFFL is not limited to the organsiation of the festival, but is active throughout the year. Not only with the DVD label, but also as a distributor of short films, theatrically (cinemas, arts centers, cultural centers, events, …) and digital (video on demand, mobile applications,…). EDUCATION
Not only does the ISFFL’s programme includes a substantial amount of short films for kids every year, throughout the year the festival releases DVDs for children: ‘Short Films for Kids’ aka ‘Selected Shorts #4′ and ‘Small Heroes & Crazy Creatures’ aka ‘Selected Shorts 11′. The festival also releases compilations for children theatrically like ‘The Gruffalo’ (2011) or ‘The Pipsqueak Prince’ (2007). On a regular basis educational records are being made in co-oporation with the educational non-profit organisation Lessen in het Donker (Lessons in the Dark).
