After its heyday in the mid-1960s to the early 1980s, Hungarian cinema went into hibernation for a while. But the Hungarian film world has clearly woken up again, with high-profile directors such as László Nemes (Son of Saul) and Ildikó Enyedi (On Body and Soul). The country of goulash is also getting noticed for its remarkable animation talents.  

All films are available with English subtitles.
