Oscar Shorts
Kortfilmfestival Leuven was well represented at this year's Academy Awards ceremony. Two festival films contended in the animation competition: both Beautiful Men by Nicolas Keppens and Wander to Wonder by Nina Gantz were nominated for Best Animated Short Film. The prize for Best Live-Action Short Film also went to a familiar face at the festival. I’m Not a Robot by Victoria Warmerdam won the audience award in the European competition in December 2023, and took home the coveted statuette at the beginning of this year.
