European Competition
The significance of Kortfilmfestival Leuven is not limited to Belgium, it reaches much further. The festival has a say in the longlist of the Oscars, the BAFTA's and the European Film Awards. This year saw a record number of entries: no fewer than 3,240 films from 93 different countries competed.
This year's European Competition is once again a wonderful mix of live-action fiction films, animation films and documentaries. Come and see for yourself what the talented international filmmakers have to offer and vote for your favourites. Not only the jury will award a prize for Best European Short Film, so will the audience!
